Experienced offshore sailor
UPDATE: Currently in St Barthélemy, leaving around the 6th of May. Yachth Master Ocean in Antibes, France in September. I will be looking for a captain’s position right after.
I am an experienced First Mate / Skipper with experience as a solo stewardess.
In 2017 I sailed a 60ft yacht from Dominican Republic to New Zealand. The owner thouroughly enjoyed 8 months of bliss, safe sailing and impeccable service through the Pacific. In 2018, I prepared and delivered a Jeanneau 64 from Fort Lauderdale to Palma de Mallorca as her first mate. I have been entrusted with a wide set of tasks; not only the usual watch-keeping/sailing part of the job but also all the adminwork, the crew recruitment, the provisioning and the general organization of the boat.
After the delivery and throughout the summer 2018, I worked on two sailing vessels in the 60ft range as a solo stewardess. Later that year I took a short, shore based contract in the BVIs and USVIs.
In 2019 I recreationally sailed from the Chesapeake Bay in Maryland, USA down to Grenada, exploring most of the Carribean chain and skippered a 66ft sailboat from Norfolk, Virginia to St Maarten.
Currently in St Barthélemy preparing for an Atlantic crossing with my friends on their 42ft catamaran. Once in Europe I will get my Yachtmaster Ocean and I will be looking for work some time this fall.
I enjoy working as a team and love challenges, to constantly improve the owners experience, anticipating unspoken wishes. I am originally a wine specialist with a love for cooking and photography. I will consider some interior work.
20000+ nm as a professional, most of it being offshore sailing.
