Looking for crew position to sail Caribbean 23/24
Hi skippers.
I am looking for a position sailing anywhere in the Caribbean during sailing season 23/24.
I am working towards bluewater sailboat ownership, I had a small 25' mono in 20/21, but I need far more open ocean experience before I can take the plunge on a bigger boat. I am looking for a patient skipper to train me to skipper level. I'd be happy to come to wherever in the world to help prepare and work on a boat before the journey begins.
I have basic crew skills from over a month on a Lagoon 560 sailing the Caribbean Sea crossing from Cartagena Colombia to Great Abaco Bahamas, 8 days at sea under sail, 1000Nm+. Then spent a few weeks living aboard and salvaging yachts in the Great Abaco region after hurricane Dorian in late 2019.
I returned to Australia early 2020 and bought a Compass 25 sailboat to teach myself the basics on the protected tidal waterway of the Brisbane Waters near Sydney.
I am financially independent with investments and only work when I choose, healthy, fit, friendly, easygoing, travelled to over 50 countries, electrician by trade, handy with tools, first aid trained and advanced scuba diver.
Genuinely looking for a crewing position and hoping to hear.
