My name is Misty and I am inquiring about a position as an expedition/zodiac guide, mate, stewardess or any other current openings with your company. I have been in the boating industry since 2005 working on both charters and private vessels as a captain, first mate, expedition guide, lead deckhand and head stewardess. I recently finished a successful 5 month season in Alaska as an expedition/zodiac guide for Hurtigruten Expeditions. I started my boating career in Seward, Alaska in 2005. I have crossed the Atlantic three times as a first mate and was in charge of crew menu/provisioning, standing watch, and general interior and exterior maintenance. I hold my 100 master captain’s license, TWIC card, CPR/first aid, advanced PADI diving license and STCW 95 with fire fighting. I am a world traveler who has avid experience in sailing, cooking, fishing, diving and kayaking. I love seeing new places and meeting new people. I have sailed on and off in the Caribbean for years. I also have an extensive background in customer service/tourism and fire fighting. For the summer season of 2022 I was employed as a kayak guide/ head stewardess aboard North Pacific Expeditions in Alaska which is a charter business that explores various areas of Alaska for a 5 month summer season and then went on to work for Silverseas as an zodiac/expedition guide. I have also made numerous deliveries on various vessels with 125’ Westport and a 49’ Hinckley being the most current.
