Couple, keen to explore and assist, for now short trips in UK or Europe

I am looking for a trips now with my partner Rich. We both love being on the water - so much so I live on a narrowboat in the UK and one day hope to upgrade to a sail boat so keen to get our experience up.

I've got my ICC and did another week's instruction in 2019 doing Coastal Skipper syllabus, but for fun. I need to finish off my theory. I've done a few weeks crewing now and sail dinghies.

Rich has less experience but is naturally practical and hands on, and enjoyed sailing when younger. I took him out on the dinghy and he picked it up straight away (much to my envy). He’s an art and design teacher.

We are both mid-30s, open-minded, curious and adaptable. We’re well-travelled and don't need mod-cons or luxuries (but can enjoy the finer things in life!). For the dream (getting own boat) we need to learn all the maintenance too, so if we can help on any elbow grease in return for a sail that’d work well.

We’d be happy to chat, but also can give you space if you want some quiet contemplation. We hope we’d be good company for you, whatever your mood. We will go with your flow of how ship-shape you like things and, perversely, I enjoy washing up! We both enjoy cooking so would be happy to put together meals.

He teaches Tue-Fri so we’re keen to find some day / long weekend, or a week away in school hols. In the near future we're keen to plan some longer trips. The ideal would be Caribbean / Americas.
