1st Mate/Skipper/Gourmet Galleymate with ShipShape and Great Eats, Mate services

Currently, Nov2022, I have a short window to offer *recreational/expenses covered* offering of my gourmet galleymate/1st mate crew sailing skills for a boat transit. . .I am STCW and IPC/USSailing Bareboat Cruising certifited, enthusiastic, skipper-level, competent crew with great/creative culinary preparation/organization and galley skills available to bring all of my expertise aboard your vessel in a negotiated arrangement to fulfill both of our goals for a safe and enjoyable passage. I can be reached at 001 410 207 6425 or kapryor@gmail.com and am currently in Baltimore; willing to travel for your voyage to EU/Med/Carib regions. . .for compensated*crew role on vessel equipped with safety/navigation/helm or steering assist mechanism like auto helm/locking wheel/windvane not hostage-like hand-steering beyond reach of sail controls like that of the thirty-day German captain who is attempting to bring his newly purchased racing not cruising sailing vessel from Detroit to DR; who allowed drunk crew to run his boat into the marina wall damaging the bow sprit and now without ability to rig genoa and/or spinnaker; who ripped his mainsail by wrongly rigging reefing; who erroneously navigated to the wrong T-head dock at the entirely wrong marina; who anchored over his bow pulpit w/no chain rhode; who called an “emergency” when the anchor alarm alerted to an eighty to one hundred foot drift after six hours in expansive waters; who invaded the women’s shower/locker/restroom in which his female crew was showering; who abused his crew with invasive/aggressive personal inquiries and non-passage related demands, while rudely refuting and abjectly opposing more than a decade of crew sailing experience/knowledge/capability while only “navigating” with a handheld device with no charted course, expecting crew to handsteer at night for the duration of his sleeping pill effectiveness: six hours!! without that navigation device in view/nor receiving signal/nor mounted at helm; which is beyond reach of all sail controls including main sheet/jib sheets/jib cars. . .having altered the agreed course of “not more than 5 miles offshore” to more than twenty-five miles out, with only one jackline run on one gunnel, and no ability for helmsman to reach the engine ignition, in event of need of same. . .no, I do not wish to single-hand your vessel, in such handicap set-up as I recently experienced; but, would do so, in the event of an emergency. . .but I prefer to crew as a team appropriately garnered for the limitations of the individual vessel/equipment and experience/knowledge level of the owner/captain; to allow for safety to truly guide the enjoyment of a well-functioning, adequately crewed vessel on either short or long-range passages. . .including adequate capability for culinary/sleep/bodily functions comfort and privacy; all of which contribute to crew continued health/safety/happiness while aboard. . .I look forward to introducing you to my shipshape and great eats, mate! efforts aboard your well equipped/safe/harmonious sailing vessel. . .Fair Winds n Following Seas, kathleen

A solid sailor

5

I had the opportunity to sail with Kathleen and it was a pleasure, unfortunately our planned passage was cut short due to a wreckless captain. She is very knowledgeable and skilled with both the art of sailing and weather forecasting.... And a great cook to boot! I'd definitely sail with her again given the opportunity.
