Watch: Yohoo! (Hey Joe)
Looking for a sailing adventure with like-minded people
I'm an adventurer and love the outdoors and it's always been my dream to live on a boat! I've very much enjoyed a 2 week cruise to Antarctica, sailing in East Timor, and being on boats and ferries in Australia, Indonesia and Fiji. Despite some pretty rocky rides I haven't been sea sick (yet)! I'm looking to join a crew for at least a month (and possibly much longer) somewhere warm around the Pacific maybe. Island hopping and adventuring would be amazing, I particularly like exploring remote places and meeting local people. I'd love to learn how to sail with someone patient, who handles stress well. I'd be open to sea crossings with an experienced captain and safe vessel. I just resigned from my job and will fly from Melbourne to meet a boat anytime after 27 July 2019. If you're leaving from Australia, even better! You'll have to teach me the ropes as this will be my first time as crew. I'm hard working, fit and pick up new skills quickly. I can cook and clean. I can also provide you with some beautiful photos of the trip and probably even a video (though I'm still learning). I know being on a boat can be tough, and I'm ready for anything. I have my diving certificate, I love snorkeling and want to learn to freedive, and I'm learning to surf. I work in communications for development. I've got some great stories from my travels around the world, and from living in East Timor and remote Aboriginal Australia. My interests include paragliding, dancing, permaculture, art, writing, photography, hiking, surfing and travel. I want to get skilled in videography next. I love nature and being outdoors. I hope you'll have me on board so that we can share our experiences!
