Experienced and reliable Englishman.
In the past year I have lived and worked on tall ships all along the east coast of Australia, I have just left the tall ship Solway Lass where I was a 1st mate sailing overnight charters around the Whitsunday islands in the north of Queensland, before that I was working as Bosun with a fleet of 3 Tallships - Southern Swan, Søren Larsen, and Coral Trekker, all based in Sydney Harbour. Also in the Whitsundays I have been working as sailhand 1 on many ex world class racing maxis such as Southern Cross, British Defender, Boomerang and Siska IV - All owned by the same company who I have been with for 15 months. I currently have an RYA Day Skipper, Yachtmaster Offshore/Coastal theory and waiting for the best opportunity to do my Yachtmaster Offshore Practical, I am a confident member to any crew. I am very adaptable to most lifestyles and very easy to get on with, and as far I am concerned, have a pretty decent sense of humour! I have crewed on deliveries 1700nm+ between the UK and Europe and have crewed in many races, and regattas, including the prestigious Cowes week off the south coast of the UK. I have very strong abilities that are necessary to the yachting industry, I have studied engineering in the UK at A levels and very regularly find myself as one of the leading pair of hands in marine engine maintenance and repair. I have done extensive maintenance on both fibreglass and wooden ships, including 2 refits.
