RYA Day Skipper Looking for Sailing Opportunities
Hi, I’m Stuart, a 40-year-old enthusiastic sailor based in East Yorkshire looking to gain more sea miles, experience, and confidence with a friendly skipper or crew.
I hold RYA Competent Crew and RYA Day Skipper qualifications and have logged around 200 nautical miles sailing to date. I’m keen to continue learning, improve my practical skills, and become a more experienced all-round sailor.
I worked as a professional chef for 24 years, so I’m more than happy to help with cooking and keeping everyone well fed on board. I’m equally happy to get stuck into all aspects of boat life—deck work, cleaning, maintenance, night watches, mooring, sail handling, or simply lending a hand wherever needed. I’m reliable, easy-going, hardworking, and always willing to learn.
I’m willing to travel anywhere for the right opportunity and am particularly interested in longer coastal or offshore passages, although I’m equally happy to join shorter trips if they help build experience. From September onwards, I’ll be available full-time for the foreseeable future, giving me the flexibility to join extended voyages at relatively short notice.
My goal is simple: to gain experience, become a better sailor, contribute fully as a crew member, and enjoy being out on the water.
