Looking for an Engineering or Deck/Engineer Role
A commercially endorsed Yachtmaster Offshore seeking his next opportunity in the industry. Looking for an engineering position on a vessel with total propulsion power of 350kW+ to progress my career and achieve my ‘Small Vessel - Second Engineer’ qualification. A hardworking, driven individual hoping to join a team of like-minded people.
About Me
After graduating university, I learnt to sail at my local yacht club on the River Thames in London. I began participating in regular club events as well as cruising and dinghy races. Following 2 years of membership, I left to travel Asia including Mt. Everest Basecamp; Japan; Thailand and more. It was here that I first experienced living and working in a foreign country giving me a passion for a life of exploring and learning new things. I returned to Europe to complete my Yachtmaster fast track and start my yachting career. I completed this course based out of Gibraltar but visited 20+ marinas and anchorages in Spain, Portugal and Morocco in both the Mediterranean and Atlantic.
Outside of sailing I have an engineering background. I have professional experience in planned maintenance management for a highly-efficient factory as well as experience in car and motorbike service and modification. I take great pride in my work, have a high attention to detail and cope well under pressure. I am confident using tools and am now seeking to take these hands-on skills onboard a yacht.
