Looking for a Stewardess, Voluntary Work as Stew/Deck - Novice Crew position
My aim and dream are to become an all-rounded professional stewardess. In order to gain experience, I'm available for unpaid positions as stew/housekeeper/deckhand. I don't know how to cook, but I'm happy to help the cook with everything from peeling potatoes to cleaning the galley and anything else.
Becoming a stewardess would represent the start of my second life and I'm ready to go the extra thousand miles to learn everything about what needs to be done on a vessel.
I’m not afraid of hard work, I’m resilient and team-minded, have a great can-do attitude and strong work ethic.
I have a keen eye for detail and knew how to detail-clean long before I learned this expression. I know how to provide an exceptional level of care, consider myself a perfectionist and an intuitive self-starter.
I have taken a 6-day entry-level GUEST Yacht Interior Introduction course which included 3 modules:
Yacht Interior Introduction; Basic Food Service, and Introduction to Wine, Bar and Mixology. The course, held by the wonderful Hazel Anderson of VIP Service School in Palma, gave me extensive and precious insight into the yachting industry, starting with the definition of the different types of yachts that exist, and then exploring, and learning about, all the interior departments.
Please note: I've been fully Covid-19 vaccinated - received the second jab on July 20 - I have all the necessary certificates and am ready to start immediately.
I'm currently in Alicante, Spain.
