Looking for a Deckhand or Dive Instructor position
Dear team,
I am currently working on a charter catamaran in the BVIs for the winter season as first mate. We are only a team of 2 hosting charters for up to 8 people, for 1 day up to 10 days. I am looking to get to then get further experience preferably on a diving boat, happy with motor or sailing boat for the summer season, and ideally a long term permanent role. My current position involves assisting the captain with sailing, cooking meals, cleaning cabins, maintenance of interior and exterior parts of the vessel. Also a big part of the role is guest relations, and ensuring that they are supported for everything they need onboard.
I have many years if experience working in the diving industry, and wanting to develop further while gaining experience onboard. I am a PADI MSDT, with over 300 certified students, and 3000+ dives, with all this time in the water, I have become a keen underwater photographer, and always aim to create a video for the guests for their experience.
I'm a professional individual, looking to join a larger vessel, and larger team, with an end goal to work on a dive charter or liveaboard. I have a wealth of experience with maintenance of diving equipment, compressors, generators and outboards, and always keen to learn more. I hold my RYA PBL2, with years of experience with driving tenders, diving boats or research vessels. I hold my RYA day skipper theory, and working towards my full certificate.
