I'm Elvis - a New Zealand based sailor looking for paid delivery and offshore cruising opportunities.
I'm a capable offshore crew member with a skill set that goes a bit beyond the usual.
I'm a qualified EMT with frontline ambulance experience and have served as medical officer on offshore passages. Having a medic aboard on a long trip is something most skippers quietly appreciate. I'm also a PADI dive instructor and a professional yacht photographer and filmmaker - if you want the voyage documented properly, I can do that.
I spent 10 months apprenticed under a Yachtmaster Ocean instructor and professional marine engineer, so I'm comfortable when things need attention at sea - sails, rigging, engines, electrics. I know my way around a boat that needs work.
I've been putting in miles shorthanded in winter New Zealand conditions and my partner and I are currently refitting our own 35ft steel cutter for a Pacific expedition. This isn't a hobby for me - it's a lifestyle I'm building towards.
I hold RYA Day Skipper, Yachtmaster theory, STCW, and ENG1. Three passports - NZ, Australian, and UK.
Looking for paid deliveries or offshore passages where I can contribute properly and keep building experience.
