Dual Deckhand / Dive Instructor / Junior Engineer Available
Seeking a full-time or seasonal Deckhand, Divemaster / Watersports Instructor, or Junior / 3rd Engineer position aboard a private or charter motor or sailing yacht (30m–80m+). Key Qualifications & Value Add: • Deck & Navigation: RYA Yachtmaster Offshore (Commercially Endorsed), RYA Powerboat Level 2, RYA Personal Watercraft (PWC / Jet Ski), SAS Coastal Skipper (Sail & Power), SAMSA Category B Skippering (50+ logged hours), and active racing member at False Bay Yacht Club (FBYC). • Scuba & Watersports: Active PADI Instructor, Japanese Commercial Diver (Sensuishi), CMAS Nitrox Compressor Operator, EFR Instructor, and PADI Certificate of Excellence recipient. Extensive experience guiding VIP guests and managing water sports gear (kayaks, paddleboards, tenders, and dive lockers). • Marine Engineering: STCW III/4 Engine Watch Rating, MCA AEC 1 & AEC 2, Class 6 Marine Engineer (MLIT Japan), and 62 days registered watchkeeping on a 735 kW commercial vessel. Backed by 7+ years of shore-based mechanical trade experience (hydraulics, circulation pumps, RO watermakers, vacuum toilets, and HVAC). Current Status & Logistics: • Visas: Active US B1/B2 Visa in hand & Japanese Passport (90-day visa-free Schengen exemption). • Residency & Medical: South African Permanent Resident (No Expiry) with SA ID | SAMSA ENG 1 Medical (Valid to April 2028). • Crew Profile: Non-smoker | Zero tattoos | Shared cabin compliant | Immediate availability worldwide.
