South East Asia - looking for crewing/cruising, diving, suring opportunities
Heya,
Sarah here from New Zealand, recently returned home after travelling through the Americas, where I picked up a taste for sailing.
Current experience:
- One month cruising in the Sea of Cortez on a 41ft converted racer.
- 2.5 weeks delivering a 57ft single hull from Ventura to Vancouver island. Round the clock watches.
- 5 days cruise from Tofino to Bamfield return, through the broken island group (Canada).
- The odd day sailing in the coromandel
- Cook Strait crossing
- Day sailing Akaroa Harbour on the Fox II
I'm heading to South East Asia in August and would love to cruise or crew while there to experience the area from sea but also build miles towards getting confident enough to buy and sail my own craft.
Also keen to link up with people with plans to sail through the Pacific Islands, East towards Sri Lanka or South back to Aus/NZ. Sing out if you would be interested in planning something.
Extras
- Profession: Veterinarian
- Beginner Spanish (interest and willingness to learn other languages)
- PADI Rescue diver, with intro to tech and nitrox diving certs
- My partner Quinn (Kiwi engineer, sailor, surfer and diver) - would also be interested in joining if there is opportunities for couples on board.
Open to anything really. Let me know what you have in mind.
Ngaa mihi (warm regards),
Sarah
