Please let me introduce myself- my name is Carla and I am interested in filling any position from stewardess to chef, from cleaner to childcare provider in your team. With a varied background in elite sports, hospitality management, wealth management, and a burning desire forged by my Devon roots to embrace the sea and adventurous travel, I am excited about the opportunity to contribute my diverse skills and unwavering work ethic to your team.
In my previous role as assistant manager at the River Exe Café, I embraced and enjoyed the testing environment that demanded adaptability and a commitment to excellence. I successfully managed complex logistics, including rota scheduling, health & safety compliance and inventory management. I am no stranger to “Hands on Tasks” from scraping barnacles and mussels from the hull, cleaning and sorting bilge pumps or stepping into the kitchen to assist the chef (Not all at the same time I hasten to add!). No matter context I always approach a task with determination, and, when needed, a dry sense of humour but always with a smile. My experience has honed my ability to think on my feet and handle diverse responsibilities effectively, while still providing high quality customer service.
My education and experiences have equipped me with the emotional resilience and dedication necessary for life on the high seas. I believe my diverse skill set would make me a valuable addition to any crew.
