twsail: Hi, I am Geoffrey, 54 years old, I am taking a sabbatical year from work to sail a boat wherever I wish.

I start preparing the boat in April 2017 and will be based out of Hartlepool marina for five months, plenty of day sailing and overnight trips to build experience and miles, I will then head to the Azores from September.

The boat is a Halmatic 30, a great boat in any weather, and the addition of windvane steering helps make the journey easier on the crew.

I am looking for someone to share this adventure with, primarily because I prefer sharing experiences, and also it will be easier for watchkeeping and sleeping :-)

The purpose of the trip ? To discover, challenge, reflect, and enjoy, :-)

sail my boat from Brittany (France) to Denmark

Crew wanted: Captain/skipper
Vessel: Sailing Boat
Size:13 m
Location: France
Destination: Denmark

Maxtor: Bought a used boat in Brittany-France, need it to be sailed home to Denmark. I know nada about sailing with sails.... yet :), I have only been owning/handling small motorboats up to 3000kg for the last 20 years.

reason for buying the boat is an old dream about sailing the world with my family when I have proper knowledge.

I will pay for the return ticket and all expenses regarding drinks and food for the Captain and negoatiable passage payment.

For the crew the terms are that I will provide for foods/drinks/bunks the rest we can negotiate.

I will be arms and legs while learning + I have excellent cooking skills....

Captain has to be patient and geared for passing on sailing knowledge.

Boat has autopilot, GPS chartplotter, eccosounder. Boat has in mast furling, and furling genoa. Brand new liferaft 2016 and rig from 2017.

Captain and crew will be 3 - 5 persons. The trip is 1000nm

kind regards

nt57: Hello good people!

Sometime in July or early August I'll take my yacht from London, head along the UK south coast, hop across the Channel, and then either straight across the Bay of Biscay, or take a slower route following the French and Spanish coasts (depending on time mostly, but probably I'll go straight across Biscay).

My aim is to get to Portugal later this year, probably hang around there for a while with some trips to Gibraltar, Spain etc, and then next year... Well, see what happens.

I've lived and worked in many different countries as a scuba instructor, and my plan is to keep that life style going. I love exploring new places, meeting all sorts of people, and just seeing what's out there. I now work remotely, so I can sail pretty much freely.

I'm looking for crew with a similar mindset: adventurous, fun, and interested in seeing the world. Your sailing experience is less important than your willingness to learn, get involved in the tasks onboard, and get your hands dirty.

We'll share any costs onboard - food, moorings, fuel etc., although I plan to keep things as cheap as possible!

So send over a message if you'd like to join me on any or all of the trip.

Seeking adventurers for incredible journey - explore Indo & PNG 2018

Crew wanted: Amateur crew
Vessel: Sailing Boat
Size:12 m
Location: Indonesia
Destination: Papua New Guinea
Logged in: 16 minutes ago

We are possibly looking for a crew member to join our upcoming expedition ( longer term crew, keen to explore for at least a few months, rather than a week here & there)
Will lay out the basics in a nutshell, and if you think you might be a good fit, drop us a line for the full details☺:
These plans are fluid of course, but we hope to be
Departing Malaysia (Langkawi) early 2018,
Jan – June ‘18 cruising through Indonesia (Kuching>through southern Kalimantan> Manado> Halmahera> Raja Ampat, then over top of Papua.)
June – Dec ‘18 cruising & exploring PNG outer islands, (straight out to New Ireland & New Britain, then down to Milne Bay area).

We are keen divers, photographers, birdwatchers & hikers; we have quiet habits, we like to read, write, and tinker ☺. Def. not a party boat – not a party route really. Some of the most incredible wildlife above & below the water in these areas… This is our second time on this route (although last time we did it the other way around, from Milne Bay in PNG up and around thru Indo from East to West, on a friends boat).

Seeking crew with some sailing experience – and ideally someone with the same interests… we know from experience that this route is pretty spectacular – although of course the goal is to go to a lot more new/different places this time through…
We are basically just looking for someone low maintenance, easy going, keen to explore. Look for someone who can keep watch, handle the boat with ease, and help out around the place and enjoy the ride. Would probably be best if you dived, we have our own compressor on board and plan to do a fair bit of diving.
Contribute to fuel & provisioning plus sml fee for rent, possibly negotiable for barter of skills or goods…

Get in touch it sounds right for you & we can go into much more detail & see if it’s a good fit…
