Atlantic Crossing - Cape Verde to Grenada
I am offering cabins on my catamaran for an Atlantic crossing to the Caribbean.
This is not a charter so crew to participate in the regular daily chores like cooking, cleaning and keeping the living area organized as well as do some night watches. Crew should expect to have a rewarding experience and great time on a well equipped and well run boat that is clean, organized and safe for ocean passage.
I am hoping to leave Cape Verdi in the next 3-4 weeks and make the crossing to Grenada in about 13-14 days. I have a berth reserved at Port Louis Marina. There is opportunity for crew to stay longer as I will be exploring the islands, scuba diving and kiteboarding. I will later head north up the Caribbean islands.
I am looking for easy going and relaxed people that enjoy the ocean and fun adventures. Ideal crew would be outgoing, openminded and ready to make adventurous memories while appreciating the benefits of good crew dynamics and contribute to this by being courteous, considerate, adaptable, reliable and contribute to the team. Two crew should have bluewater experience and the other crew should have tested sea legs and not be prone to sea sickness.
Crew to pay own travel expenses to and from the boat as well as contribute $70 per day per cabin (or $50 per day per person for shared cabins) towards food onboard and running expenses (Marina/mooring, fuel etc). Crew responsible for food, drinks and activities on land with the exception of the captain buying first round of drinks!
This is a non-smoking boat due to fire safety and no drugs or alcohol while underway.
