Want to share a little of Belize with me?
Looking for someone to sail from Rio Dulce Guatemala to Belize with me and do some island hopping once in Belize. I have had my 38' catamaran for 2 years now, and while I don't have any formal qualifications, I have over 3000 miles under my belt. I could sail solo this trip but thought the company would be nice and let's face it, life is meant to be shared! Experience not absolutely necessary, but great if you have. There wouldn't be any night watches in this short leg, so mostly Im looking for someone to keep watch for corral heads, do some cooking/cleaning , help with odd repairs, and take part in sailing and anchoring. You get your own berth and head. Hopefully you enjoy exploring, snorkeling, beachcombing, and paddleboarding....and socializing with fellow cruisers. In the past, I have found it easiest for crew to pay $25 us per day for food rather then splittiing costs, but that is negotiable. Looking for someone who will respects water and power usage, likes to explore, doesn't smoke or do drugs of any kind, drinks responsibly (only at anchor). You would need to fly into Guatemala city and take a bus to Rio dulce which can be anywhere from 6 to 9 hrs.....but it is a beautiful comfortable ride!
