Marihøna is a beautiful wooden gaff cutter, built in Norway in 1957.
I will be sailing her from Kristiansand in Norway to the river Tyne, a trip of about 4 days. A few days waiting for suitable weather in Norway is probable.
I am looking for two or three experienced crew, with some sailing qualifications, who loves gaff rig, to join us.
Ability to do chartwork, collision avoidance according to the colregs, familiarity with normal yacht technical systems is essential.
There is no engine available on this trip, so sailing ability is also vital.
We will have a proper watch routine and do everything by the book.
She is a fast and seakindly yacht, well equipped with sails, safety equipment and emergency equipment, charts and everything that's neccessary for the crossing.
I will feed you, and a budget flight from nearby countries is possible by negotiation, if you fit the bill.
Friendly skipper, relaxed attitude, aiming for a pleasant few days sail. If any strong weather from the SW is forecast, we will spend a few more days in Norway.
Please note, this is not a lifestyle tasting experience, and I'm not running a sailing school, you will know if this trip is for you, or not.
