Captain & Chef/Hostess Couple – Experienced, Positive & Sea-Loving Team
We are Flávio Mattioli (Captain) and Giovanna Callado (Chef/Stew/Deck), a professional yacht crew duo with extensive experience on private and charter yachts across the Mediterranean and Brazilian coast. Together, we offer a complete service: safe navigation, deck operations, maintenance, and high-quality guest experiences.
About Flávio (Captain):
• Skilled in sailing, passage planning, watchkeeping, tender operations, docking, and full yacht maintenance.
• Experienced on monohulls (27’–64’) and catamarans (38’–50’), for private and charter operations.
• STCW certified (all core STCW courses), updated Seaman’s Book, and full medical certificate.
• Additional certifications: Master of Yachts 200GT Sail (IYT), Portuguese Unlimited License, Able Deck Seamen, Offshore Safety & Security Courses.
• Multilingual: Portuguese (native), English (fluent), Spanish (fluent), Italian & French (basic).
• Calm, reliable, detail-oriented, with proven ability to enhance both yacht safety and guest enjoyment.
About Giovanna (Cook/Stew/Deck):
• Experienced in Mediterranean & Asian cuisine, provisioning, galley management, table service, and interior upkeep.
• Skilled in deck duties, watchkeeping, tender operations, and guest interaction.
• STCW certified (all core STCW courses), Food Hygiene & Safety Level 2, Medical Certificate, RYA Power Boat Level 2, Hospitality for Yachts, Greek Culinary Course.
• Multilingual: Portuguese (native), English (advanced), Spanish (advanced), Italian (basic).
• Organized, proactive, calm under pressure, creative, and passionate about delivering fresh, seasonal, and beautifully presented meals.
