Looking for a chance to learn sailing — deckhand / crew
Hi!
I'm a solo traveler, currently in Thailand, drawn to the sea and to life on the water. I've been wandering through Southeast Asia for months, and sailing has always been part of the dream.
I have a little sailing experience from 2020 (I even got a IYT license back then), but it's been years — so I'm happy to start fresh and learn from scratch, take shifts, and really be part of a crew.
I'm practical, observant, and not afraid to ask questions.
What I can offer:
· Willingness to learn and take responsibility
· Help with daily boat life: cooking simple meals, cleaning, provisioning, dinghy runs
· Taking shifts on the helm once I understand the basics
· Adaptability — traveling solo has taught me to stay calm when plans change
· A steady, curious mindset. I'm not looking for a free ride — I want to contribute
What I'm looking for:
· A skipper or crew who values respect and clear communication
· Short passages or longer journeys — open to both
· A real, hands-on experience
Availability:
Currently in Thailand. Flexible to relocate, ready on short notice.
