Looking for a Crew Spot – Atlantic Crossing to Brazil (January 2027)
Hi everyone!
My name is Basile, I'm 20 years old, and I have a huge thirst for adventure!
I'm starting my studies at HEC Paris this year, and as part of my degree, I have the opportunity to spend six months in Brazil. But since I refuse to "cheat" by taking a plane, my dream is to cross the Atlantic by sea (and ideally arrive in time for Carnival!).
I'm therefore looking for a spot on a sailboat crossing the Atlantic to Brazil, ideally in January 2027. I'm flexible about both the departure port (France, Canary Islands, Cape Verde...) and the arrival port.
I absolutely love cooking for others, and I'm even working towards my professional cooking diploma alongside my studies. I'm also into chess, scuba diving, spearfishing, and CrossFit.
Much to my despair, I can't play a single musical instrument, but I'm a great audience for those who can!
As for my sailing experience, I regularly sail as a crew member with my father, who skippers our boat during our summer holidays. I'm fully aware that crossing the Atlantic is a whole different ball game, and I'm more than willing to take additional sailing courses before departure to make myself as useful as possible on board.
Of course, I'm more than happy to take part in watches, sail handling, manoeuvres, and all the day-to-day tasks on board.
I'd be delighted to meet for a coffee or have a call if you'd like to chat about the trip!
Cheers,
Basile
