Looking for Crew, delivery, or Mile building position
Hi - I'm Nigel from Melbourne.
I'm interested in finding a position as Crew or Mile building.
I sailed for about 5 years as bay racing as crew in the 80s on 33 foot Mottle, in Port Phillip Bay. I’m still an old school windsurfer tragic..
Spent 2 months working on prawn trawleers in WA, Karratha area back in the 90s. Mostly just with skipper.
I own an 11m Jeanneau NC11 cabin cruiser, that we use for about 70 plus engine hours each year, around Port Phillip Bay in Victoria. In appropriate conditions I am able to operate single handed, docking etc.
Qualifications include;
Victorian marine licence,
Power Boat handling course [basically ribs & outboards]
VHf radio,
Coastal Navigation,
RYA Day skipper,
RYA Coastal skipper,
I’ve studied RYA yacht master theory.
Wanting to do more of the RYA courses to achieve Yachtmaster, so looking for miles and experience.
Prefer delivrey style positions, as I am unlikely to have the time off to cruise along slowly.
Also interested in power boats, not just sail.
Non smoker, neat & tidy, I have a full set of wet weather gear.
I fix a lot of things on my own boat and maintain old cars & bikes, so reasonably mechanical! Interests include; cars. bikes. MTB, skiing, photography, Padi open water cert,
