Looking for sailing, travel, fun, adventures, experience and knowledges (Greece > Turkey/Crete or another)
Hi! I'm Roman, 33, IT developer(work remotely) and skydive instructor(seasonal job).
Look for sailing, travel, enjoy the life, visit amazing places, meet interesting people, sail experience and knowledges.
Plan to buy boat in future.
I travel with my girlfriend Tanya by my motorbike around Europe since the 10th of Sep and currently we're on Rhodes and going to go to Turkey probably(if no any better ideas;)). We were in Greece/Create for 5 weeks and we combine traveling with remote work so for it's more workation not just vacation.
I don't drink alcohol for last 3 years but friendly with people who drink so for me it's definitely not a problem . We're also not smoking and no drugs and very friendly with animals because have two Siberian huskies in Ukraine.
I need to work remotely by laptop for 5-7(or 10 if possible) hours each day. If we near shore I can go on-land to work in cafe. I'm flexible with time frames because don't have strong schedule of working hours but just keep this in mind to make our trip comfortable for all of us.
We do not have any specific diets and we love tasty food. We can cook on the boat or eat in not too expensive local restaurants. I can cook some Ukrainian dishes to taste;)
We prefer walking and discover little-known and interesting places. Also, we don't like loud parties.
+ I have more than 600 skydive jumps from different aircraft (big and little airplanes, helicopters, sky balloons)
+ Scuba dive license Open Water Diver (<18m depth) and want to gain experience in this direction too.
+ Travel with action cam and drone and like to capture videos for own archive.
+ COVID-19: Both of us have full vaccinations and proofs.
My motivation and reasons to crew on a boat
have a holiday, share experience, share charter costs, visit remote places, seek adventure, fulfill a dream, earn money, finding myself, gain experience, learn to sail, live off the grid, running away, travel
At this moment, I'm studying the sea and ship terms, the principle of sails, navigation and look for opportunities to gain practice experience of sailing and communication with an experienced skipper.
I have been interested in sailing for the last 2 years and I amthinking about going to skipper courses and get the license. But at first I'm looking for knowledge and experience, as I believe it is the best way to get them while sailing with someone. So, if you're reading this I hope you're the person who wants to share this knowledge while just sailing and enjoying it.
I dream of having a yacht (or rent for the start) and organizing non-commercial trips for my friends.
