Looking for new opportunities to sail
Hey my name is Ibi, I am Egyptian with dual nationality ( UK - Egypt ). I am a nurse based in Ibiza, Balearic Islands. I speak fluently English Spanish and Egyptian Arabic.
I have started sailing early this year by attending a full week sailing course in Ibiza where I gained basic techniques and knowledge.
Right after the sailing course, I commenced my first sailing trip which started from Canary Islands to Cabo Verde and from there to the caribe on the Oceanis 351 of friends of mine.
Having done this crossing taught me a lot about valuable sailing skills ( team work, night shifts manovers, knots, sailing vocabulary in French, experiencing sailing at different weather conditions, cooking and elaborating meals in extreme weather conditions).
My aim is carry on travelling towards Central America and then back to Spain.
I have started sailing with a motive of loving and protecting our beautiful blue planet. I see sailing as an alternative way to travel sustainably while reducing my carbon footprint on earth as well as an opportunity to get to know like minded people who love nature and adventure.
I love sports and I practice yoga and meditation. I follow strict plant based diet ( for ethical environmental and health reasons).
I enjoy cooking and preparing healthy meals based on purely plants. I love the the challenge of creating delicious meals within the kitchen in the boat with limited means and ingredients.
I’m enthusiastic ambitious and willing to take new opportunities that are presented to me. I’m a professional hardworking and committed and willing to learn. I have lived and worked in many countries. and I have wide life experience that I can bring to the team.
