Looking for a position as Deckhand, Delivery Crew or Yoga Teacher
Hi there, I’m Rosa, German-American 25-year-old adventure lover, knowledge-seeking, yoga-loving and a generally curious and outdoorsy being. I grew up in Munich, Germany, was born in hot and deserty Phoenix, Arizona and studied my bachelor’s degree in Economics in Madrid however quickly realised that the office life was not for me and stopped my career as an environmental consultant in December 2021. I sold pretty much all my belongings and started travelling the globe to surf, do yoga and meet new people and learn about the worlds cultures. Before embarking on my travels my godfather had just crossed the Atlantic on a sailboat with some friends and his story telling of the trip intrigued me and I decided to get into sailing. I ended up working on a chartered 50ft sailing yacht in the Caribbean for a few weeks in March '22, joined a dinghy-sailing course shortly after in Italy at Lago di Garda, completed my Day Skipper licence in Cape Town in May and have since then joined the classical yacht regatta in the Med (Imperia and Cannes) sailing on a 1938 Norwegian built 8mR and have been falling in love with sailing more and more as time passes. Lately I have spent my time "on the other side of the world", in New Zealand (since October 22) and have been joining in on some regattas in the Bay of Islands on the weekends. Next steps? Hopefully find a crew to join to explore new waters, learn more about sailing and meet new people along the way.
