Dear Captain, Crew Placement/Recruitment Team, Good day! I am a 31-year-old single applicant from the Philippines, currently working as a freelance photographer while on vacation, and I am writing to express my interest in finding a position as a 2nd Officer, 3rd Officer, O.O.W or Deckhand. Although I am new to the yachting industry, I bring with me 2.5 years of experience as a Third Officer on bulk carriers. I am a qualified bridge watchkeeper with extensive experience in both day and night navigation. Prior to becoming an officer, I progressed through the deck ranks—starting as a Deck Cadet, then Ordinary Seaman, and eventually an Able Seaman—accumulating a total of three years performing deck maintenance and operational duties.
I am eager to transition into the yachting sector and am fully committed to taking any additional training required. My background in deck operations and navigational responsibilities has given me a solid foundation that I believe is highly transferable to this industry. I am enthusiastic about joining a dynamic team and contributing to the vessel's safe and efficient operation. I am ready for immediate deployment and truly appreciate your consideration of my application and I'm looking forward to meeting some new people! Thank you!
