Looking for a Deckhand, Mile building, Voluntary work or Novice Crew position
Hi, my name is Matheus and I am currently based in Mallorca and available to travel and join immediately as a Deckhand. My life was shaped around the ocean and my background combines high-pressure hospitality, hands-on construction work and practical boating experience gained while managing an island hotel in Ilha Grande for more than three years, where boats were essential for daily operations, guest transfers, and logistics.
I also bring carpentry and woodworking experience. I learn quickly, speak multiple languages, and I am comfortable with long hours, teamwork, and high-pressure environments.
Recently I have completed a 25 day temporary contract as a Standing Deckhand aboard a 35m motor yacht, covering a crew member on medical leave. Working closely with the Bosun, I was involved in daily exterior operations, including mooring, docking, anchoring, tender driving, water toys operations, and exterior maintenance while the owners were onboard for most of the contract. I have the captain and bosun as reference and they can confirm my strong work ethic and commitment to grow in the position. The experience confirmed that this is the career I want to pursue and continue developing in.
I am eager to find my next challenge and if given an opportunity I will show up with hard work, consistency and dedication to deliver the best results and be a reliable member of the crew.
