Ireland towards Madeira 2021

Spring 2021 - Yacht Master Ocean qualifying passage

Departing W Ireland June 15th (place can depend on crew wishes)
Expecting to reach Funchal, Madeira around 7 days after departure.

Straight 1200 Nm Offshore passage in between Ireland and Madeira. This is an oceanic sailing, the southbound route is ideal for fast and fun sailing. The passage is expected to take about 6 days, without stopping (except for emergency reasons).
Crew will be 6-8 people for efficient and fast sailing and various practice :
- 3 watching teams / 3hours under supervision of the skipper/1st mate.
- Celestial navigation training and practice.
- All aspects of managing boat and crew offshore on a long duration.
- Foresails change and flying spinnakers are expected.

Price for the trip is 1500 € per person, all included (accommodation, food, fuel, satcomms and marina fees).

Preferably no heavy smokers ; and of course no alcools and no drugs.
Crew must have experienced nights at sea as well as some heavy /rough weather conditions.

Excellent Captain, Incredible Company

I stayed with Stephane for about a month in 2018. He welcomed me onto his boat and treated me like family. Working with him was a genuine pleasure, and his passion for sailing and the sea is contagious. I would highly recommend a trip with him and the Grynning to any person wishing to get out on the water.
